CHARACTER NAMESamus Aran
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONBeneath her armor, Samus Aran is a thin blond woman with moderately long hair tied back to keep it out of her way. Beneath her casual clothes, she wears what most people call the "zero suit", which is essentially a neural interface to allow easier use of her armor. Over this, she wears casual (if utilitarian) clothing in plain white with blue rims that covers her thoroughly.
However, most people aren't even aware that Samus Aran is human, much less female. Most people know her by her iconic Power Suit, the distinctive bronze-and-crimson armor she wears in most situations. The most prominent feature of her armor is her arm cannon, a Chozo weapon that fires superheated spheres of plasma. Due to damage, the Power Suit has been stripped down to its basic form with a red upper torso and head and the rest in bronze.
CHARACTER PERSONALITYAs a person, Samus is rather subdued and quiet. She doesn't speak often, and when she does it is brief and unrestrained. While cold doesn't fit her personality well, she is very no-nonsense and her determination is second to no one; if she has a mission, it will be completed even if it means she has to destroy the entire planet. Due to events in her past, she fights for her own idea of justice with ruthless efficiency.
While in combat and on a mission she is very serious, in casual situations she still is serious, though considerably less so. While she's still not a big talker, she does make an attempt to help if she can, and she has taken small jobs before for no payment. Notably, Samus can keep her cool in any situation and, while well aware of her limitations, is extremely confident in her skills. When confronted with an order she doesn't like, Samus considers herself ultimately freelance and will freely disregard any orders she feels conflict with her own personal morals. She hates the Space Pirates with a burning passion.
CHARACTER HISTORYSamus Aran is the sole survivor of the K-2L Massacre, purely by chance. While she was too young to properly remember what happened, she is well aware that the Space Pirates were responsible. Most of her memories from her early life were from her upbringing with the Chozo, a humanoid avian race that also gave her the amazing technology she uses. Infused with Chozo DNA to prevent her death after being recovered from the ruins of K-2L , Samus was raised as a warrior; her Chozo DNA makes her faster and more agile than most, as well as allowing her to make use of their technology.
When she came of age, Samus left her home on Zebes to work with the Galactic Federation for several years, serving under Adam Malkovich. Disagreements with the Federation prompted her to leave and become a freelance bounty hunter, her first mission being to return to Zebes and wipe out the Space Pirates that had quietly stormed the planet and slaughtered the Chozo still on the planet in order to use the Metroids found there. Since then, Samus Aran has consistently driven back the Space Pirates on several planets; SR 388, Zebes, Talon IV, Aether, and even the Pirate's own homeworld. Samus is now a galactic hero, to the point that some people think she is just a myth. With the world fusion, Samus' power suit was damaged and she found herself lost in a completely new planet...

"Hello there. You've just arrived in the Distorted World. Why don't you tell me your name, and the first thought going through your head right now?""Samus Aran. bounty hunter." Samus stays silent.
"That's certainly interesting... forgive me if I don't know what to say to that. So tell me, where are you from?""K-2L, Zebes. Both of them are gone now."
"Can't say I've ever heard of it. Well, tell me about yourself. What do you do? What are some of your likes and dislikes?""Didn't think so. I'm a bounty hunter. I like exploring, making the galaxy safer... starry night sky, being surrounded by nature. Hate the space pirates, cloning operations, a lot of what the Federation's been up to. Pears. Is this an interview?"
"Ah, that's amazing! And not only do we have some things in common, you're quite the looker, too, aren't you?""Hmh." Samus frowns a bit.
"There's no need to be shy. They always say, if you've got it, flaunt it, right? Anyway, enough about that. Who are you allied with?""Myself. I'll do what I think's right. Vault hunter, I guess."
"I'm sure you have your reasons... Oh, on another note, how tall are you?""Six feet, three inches. And yeah, I do."
"Drat! Just four inches too tall. Although... hmm, would you mind if I asked you on a date? Don't worry, I'll buy.""I would. I have things to do."
"Finding a venue might be a bit difficult, anyway, since I have no idea where we are... tell me where this is, again?""A desert somewhere. Couldn't find a sign." <Lanayru Desert>
"Ah, how could I forget? I'd love to vacation here someday, when it's not so foggy... It's scenic, you know?""Not really. The town is more interesting, the time reversal..."
"Well, thank you for the lovely conversation! I'm afraid I'll have to be leaving you, though, since I'm going to explode in about three seconds anyway. Buh-bye now!""...... I've seen stranger."

RP SAMPLEAerith yawned and stretched her arms, mind working slowly as a curious feeling in her abdomen caused her to casually wonder what was wrong. She must have been extremely comfortable; she couldn't feel her legs quite yet. After a minute or so, it occurred to the brunette that something was wrong. The ceiling was not familiar, and neither was the bed she was laying in. The dim light sifting in through the window drew her attention to a bedstand, the Holy materia and her neatly washed and folded ribbon sitting on it. She tried to swing her legs around to sit up in the bed, but she found that the muscles would not cooperate. In fact, they didn't even move. Her hand moved over her stomach, and she felt a small ridge of raised tissue under the white night gown someone had put on her.
And then everything snapped back. Sephiroth's sword jutting from her stomach in that last moment of consciousness, and then... nothing for a while. And then the Lifestream. Aerith stared at the ceiling with a look of shock. After a few minutes, she decided that she would have to find some way to get up from where she was, without the help of her paralyzed legs. She pushed herself up as best she could with her hands, albeit with some difficulty and noted that the sheets over her were white and thick. The room was adorned similarly to that of an inn, but different in that it seemed... more advanced. It was like being in Midgar... but this would have to be the upper city if it was, and there was no green Mako glow.
Her mind slowed down, and she pressed a hand to her forehead with a light groan. This couldn't be happening. She was supposed to be dead; She was just fine with being dead. Finally, after spending a minute or so on the verge of tears, she regained her composure and decided to alert whoever had brought her here to the fact that she'd come around. Aerith took another moment to clear out her throat and look around. Sure enough, she saw her usual apparel and some other outfits laid out on a second bed in the room. "Hello...? Is anyone there? I'm awake now..."
