LEVEL GUIDE
As your character grows throughout his or her adventure, he or she will gain experience. Once you have accumulated enough experience, you will level up. Every time a character levels up, he or she may gain the ability to create some custom abilities according to the parameters of the level reached. These abilities must be posted for approval in the Battle Stats approval board, similar to Signature Abilities. (Shop abilities may be purchased at your discretion, whenever you like, as long as you have enough KP/Quest Medals to pay for them and meet the posted requirements.) Below is the list of levels, the amount of experience required to reach that level from the next, and the slots in your Command Deck (relative to your level) to equip abilities. Finally, leveling up will grant you additional HP, and all characters start with 50.
Experience is gained through completing threads, defeating enemies, and undergoing quests. Some quests will grant items and new abilities as well. You gain no less than ten Experience Points for completing a thread with someone else, improved based on what happened, its length, and how well written it was. You must PM the thread URL to a staff member to receive Experience, and staff members reserve the ability to award EXP for thread quality based upon their own judgment - though staff are never allowed to judge their own threads. Enemies give Experience equal to half their health, rounded up (So for an enemy with 30 HP, you would gain 15 EXP for defeating it.)
The level arrangement is as follows:
Level 1 Experience required from previous level: None; Character Creation Abilities gained: 5 standard (default), 0 custom Command Deck Up: Standard Deck, 5 slots available. HP: [hp=50/50]
Level 2 Experience Required from previous level: 40 Custom Abilities gained: n/a Command Deck Up: +1 slot (6) HP: [hp=55/55]

THE COMMAND DECK
Your Command Deck is the list of set abilities your character can use in combat during threads. Upon character creation, you may pick five skills and abilities from the Ability List free of charge. The beginner Command Deck has five Command Slots, which is enough room for five basic abilities, or four abilities and a few Potions, and so on. Your Command Deck comes into play at the beginning of a battle: when you enter into a conflict on The Warpath Home, you must pick a set of abilities and/or items, the sum of which matches or is less than the amount of available slots in your Command Deck. The Command Deck MAY NOT BE CHANGED during a conflict; the set of abilities you choose (Passives too!) is the set you are stuck with throughout the duration of the fight.
However, if and when the battle ends, you may change your Command Deck in a non-conflict post.
Abilities in your Command Deck should be sorted between whether they are custom, shop, or quest abilities. (All Signature Abilities must cost two or more Slots.) Quest abilities are purchased from the Quest Shop with Quest Medals gained from Missions and Hunts and select special events. Listed abilities should include the name, the description, and the number of slots the ability takes up in an active Command Deck. This Command Deck should be posted at the end of every battle post, along with your HP and a record of which abilities were used/are in effect and are on cooldown.
