reckon seraphic ray needs a cooldown of ten posts or a once-per-battle use, though that may just be me being harsh on myself, considering i give myself E's when marking a test in PRE when really i get B's and stuff. anyway, magical item first then signature ability!
magical item. TETRADIC BADGE, A seemingly normal badge on Cid Raines's uniform, the Tetradic Badge is a small silver eagle attached to the left side of Raines's Guardian Corps uniform. He received it upon reaching the position of Captain, from the previous leader of the Cavalry. When Raines's health depletes to 25% or less, the spells Protect, Shell and Regen will be cast upon Raines. The effects last for three posts, and has a cooldown of five posts.
signature ability. SERAPHIC RAY, A reminder to Raines that he was once a l'Cie of Cocoon. For two posts, this ability is passive. All offensive abilities that Raines uses has a damage increase of 25%, with wind-elemental abilities gaining a further increase in damage of 5 HP*. On the third post, the ability switches to active. A blinding white light will engulf the battle field, dealing 10 HP of damage to all enemies, or 15 HP if there is a single target. The light will also remove all buffs and debuffs from everyone on the field, while inflicting Blind on opponents [duration of two posts], and giving Raines and his allies the buffs Haste and Regen, both of which have a duration of three posts. During all three posts of this attack, three pairs of ghostly white wings appear on Raines's back. Seraphic Ray has a cooldown of eight posts. * Aero deals 10 HP of damage normally. With Raines's elemental alignment, it will deal 20 HP damage. When Seraphic Ray is in effect, the offensive ability increase takes it to 25 HP, but with the wind-elemental ability increase, Aero will finally deal 30 HP of damage. However there is a damage cap of 36 HP, meaning that abilities such as Aeroga shall be fixed at dealing 36 HP of health.
