CHARACTER NAME[/size]Sora
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONNow that he's 15 years old, he is taller than he was a year ago. Along with his new found 'maturity' he has also had a fashion make-over, drifting more toward darker colored clothing rather than the bright clothes of his childhood. He is often seen wearing a hooded jacket that's way too small for him, a chain necklace, gloves, many colors catching one's eyes, and zippers. Zippers are everywhere.
He has long, spiky brown hair that adds a good six to nine inches to his overall height. His smooth skin is very pale despite living on an island for most his life and getting as much sun as he did. He is very athletic and has a slim, fit body that speaks of all the running, jumping, fighting, and athletics he does to save the world on a yearly basis. He is very confident and despite wearing shoes that are five sizes too big for him, isn't clumsy at all. He has the trademark blue eyes that Squeenix loves giving their protagonists and a happy-go-lucky smile that is never too far from his face.
CHARACTER PERSONALITYSora is somewhat immature, despite how old his body has become, in it resides the heart of a child. He still believes in Santa Clause (for good reason, he totally met him in Halloween Town, so you'd better watch out), he makes wishes on stars, and believes that good always triumphs over evil. He is optimistic and confident in his abilities to make changes to the world around him for the better. He doesn't hold anything back and is never anything less than himself. He often gets caught up in himself and bolsters his ego to no end, making him prideful, and every once in a while he gets knocked down a peg or two due to his failures. He is someone you can count on to raise your spirits and fight alongside you to the very end.
Because he is this way, he is the Keyblade's chosen warrior. He wields the Light Side version of the Kingdom Key, an administrative key that opens any lock and protects the multiverse from the darkness that seeks to engulf everything. Because of this, Sora enjoys playing the 'Hero', running off to take the spotlight and single-handedly save the day. He has show-off tendencies and a goofy streak. However, when it comes down to business, Sora is able to push aside most of these qualities. He still enjoys banter while fighting and taunting his opponents, but his skills as a swordsman are top-notch, even fighting toe-to-toe with some of the most powerful warriors in the Square Enix universe. After all is said and done, Sora is simply a normal boy in unnatural circumstances having trouble growing up.
CHARACTER HISTORYHeavy Spoilders
To understand Sora, one must go back to when he was only six years old. Sora, chosen by Aqua who saw the light in his heart, was granted the ability to wield a keyblade. Perhaps this was because he resembled Ventus (meaning sky in latin). Years later, when the heartless attacked Destiny Island, Sora summoned the Kingdom Key, ultimately destroying the dark body that had been consuming the island, but failing to save his home. He was swallowed by the darkness and found himself in Traverse Town. As he ventured from world to world, looking for his friends who had been lost to the darkness as well, he encountered many strange allies in unlikely places. Facing his own well-concealed self-doubt in his show-down with Riku, he returned to Kairi her lost heart creating Roxas, his nobody, in the process.
After confronting Ansem's heartless, he found himself within the castle oblivion, searching for Riku who had, again, been lost to the darkness. Making his way through the floors of the Organization XIII's fortress, he confronted memories of his past and found that they weren't what he remembered them to be. Namine, Kairi's nobody, was replacing his memories with falsehoods, transforming Sora into the Organization's tool at Marluxia's orders. However, the teen's convictions reached Namine and she refused to destroy what made Sora, Sora. After the final showdown, and ultimately destroying Marluxia and his defected followers within the Organization XIII, Sora went into a year of stasis.
Waking up, the child was now a young man. However, he was no closer to finding Riku or Kairi. His memories of them still fresh in his mind and his conviction no less than it had been a year ago. He journeyed through many of the worlds he had visited the first time around, making new friend and meeting old ones. He even faced off against Sephiroth when the One Winged Angel decided to try and steal his keyblade from him. He began to realize what exactly he was and what had happened to him after he had given Kairi back her heart. One by one, he executed a mass Genocide of the Organization XIII, Riku helping in the background, searching for his friends and attempting to hold back the Heartless invasion that was threatening the existence of the multiverse. Upon reaching the World that Never Was, he faced off alongside Riku to defeat Xemnas, Xehanort's nobody. After the final battle, the trio reunite back at Destiny Island.
However, their peace was short lived as the distorted worlds fused the multiverse together on a single plane of existence. Sora woke up to find Riku and Kairi missing... again. The young keyblade bearer prepared himself for another adventure in this new world.

"Hello there. You've just arrived in the Distorted World. Why don't you tell me your name, and the first thought going through your head right now?"Sora's head perked as he heard a girl's voice call out to him, his blue orbs flitting over to her. "Oh, hey!" He smiled, his head tilting and his eyes closing. He jabbed a thumb to his chest. "I'm Sora!" He introduced himself. At the question of what was going through his head, he opened his eyes and looked at his surroundings. "Distorted World, huh? What exactly is the 'Distorted World'?" He asked, curiously eying the girl.
"That's certainly interesting... forgive me if I don't know what to say to that. So tell me, where are you from?"Sora regained his smirk as the girl told him she didn't know how to respond. "Don't worry about it! I'll figure it out eventually!" He confidently nodded. "I'm from Destiny Island." He responded definitively.
"Can't say I've ever heard of it. Well, tell me about yourself. What do you do? What are some of your likes and dislikes?"Sora's eyes widened, "Wait, you've never heard of it--?" He was interrupted by her question. This caused him to give a light laugh as he remembered how he'd spent the last several years. "Well, I like meeting new people, going to new places, and being with my friends!" He thought about his dislikes for a moment, trying to find the words to accurately describe them, his face darkening. "I don't like people who take advantage of others, manipulate others' hearts, or use their powers to destroy beautiful things." He said after a moment of silence.
"Ah, that's amazing! And not only do we have some things in common, you're quite the looker, too, aren't you?"Sora was a little taken aback at this. "I-I am?" He asked, a little flustered, a foot taking a step back away from the girl, his face getting red. He felt a little awkward, not sure how he was supposed to react to this.
"There's no need to be shy. They always say, if you've got it, flaunt it, right? Anyway, enough about that. Who are you allied with?""The mixing of the worlds isn't right. The last time the worlds were all brought together--" He grew a little pale as he remembered the Door to Darkness that had swallowed Riku and the King whole. He shook his head. "I won't allow anyone to get hurt. Not again!"
"I'm sure you have your reasons... Oh, on another note, how tall are you?"Sora blinked. "I-I dunno... maybe 5'10"?" He asked, not exactly confident of his answer. His hair caused him to seem taller than he really was.
"Drat! Just four inches too tall. Although... hmm, would you mind if I asked you on a date? Don't worry, I'll buy."This time, Sora was literally knocked backward, landing on his butt as he tripped over his giant feet. "D-date?!" He asked, his whole body tense.
"Finding a venue might be a bit difficult, anyway, since I have no idea where we are... tell me where this is, again?"From what he saw from her smile, she was having some fun at his expense. Though he understood this, he couldn't help but feel his cheeks burning with embarrassment. "Well, you're on Destiny Island." He explained his surprise at her never having heard of it before.
"Ah, how could I forget? I'd love to vacation here someday, when it's not so foggy... It's scenic, you know?"All of a sudden, she seemed to be kinda forgetful. He couldn't help but smirk at her. "Yeah. I remember looking out over the ocean, wondering what other worlds were out there." His smile dropped slightly, his face getting a more experienced look about it.
"Well, thank you for the lovely conversation! I'm afraid I'll have to be leaving you, though, since I'm going to explode in about three seconds anyway. Buh-bye now!"Sora blinked. "Explo-?" He asked, but didn't have enough time before there was a small explosion. Sora's hair was blown backward, his face charred with ash and a surprised expression on his face. "She really exploded... Go figure."

RP SAMPLEI've been having these... weird thoughts lately...
The sensation of falling captured the youth's senses, the darkness around him was suffocating, his skin felt cold, numb. No matter how hard he tried it seemed a pressure surrounding him made it impossible to move even a smidge. An uncontrollable fear welled up in him. What was happening to him..?Like, is any of this for real..? or not?
Water... it was the wet sensation of water pressing all around him. And he was sinking, deeper and deeper into the darkness, into the depths of his subconscious. His eyes finally opened halfway to reveal two ocean blue orbs that didn't seem quite focused, like he was in a dream state, however he was entirely aware of his surroundings, aware that the light above the surface of the water was getting further and further away... His body tilted back, the water beneath him seeming to draw him in stronger, faster than before, his form plummeting down to whatever lay beneath him... He wanted to keep his eyes open as he plunged down into the dark abyss that lay beneath him, but the pressure of the water became too much, the young boy closing his eyes, a curiosity and anxiety gripping him as a sudden bright light dazed him.
Blinking his eyes open, he was greeted by the lapping of waves... the calming sound he had grown up with. But there was something different about all this. A hand reached up to his spiked hair. It was dry... wait... hadn't he just been in the water..? The boy tried his hardest to grasp what exactly was going on, but nothing was coming. Out in the water. A small voice in his mind urged his eyes to a figure standing out knee deep in the liquid, its back turned to him. Even without seeing its face, Sora knew who it was.
"Riku!" He called out. But the figure didn't seem to hear him. "Riku! What're you doing out there?" He tried again only to have no response. Scowling, he took several steps into the water. "Oh, I see, you're just gonna ignore me now! Is that it?" He asked with a sly smirk. Trying to guilt-trip his friend into reacting to him. After a moment of nothing, he got fed up with waiting, annoyed that nothing he did yet had worked. "Hey! I'm talking to--" He stopped talking. It was... strange. He had a foreboding feeling rising up in his gut. His right hand rising to his stomach which felt like it had butterflies in it. His gaze shifted down to the lapping water against his giant yellow shoes. It was... the water... he didn't know why, but he had the feeling like if he went too deep out into the ocean, he'd never come back... It was only then he realized how afraid he was. He'd never be able to return home..? His eyes widened as he realized his friend was in trouble.
"RIKU!" He called out, cupping his hands to his mouth frantically. "GET OUT OF THE WATER!"
It was then he finally got any response out of his friend... his rival. The boy turned, but it was unnatural... more like he turned many times... or a movie was playing and there were some pictures missing, causing the picture to jump. There was a look about him that was different from what Sora remembered. It was a daring look in his eyes that defied his words, a challenging swagger in his stance that dared Sora to come in and get him.
"What? Get out? Sora, you're such a scaredy-cat!" Riku's voice taunted him from the water, a smirk plastered on his face in a smug victory.
"Riku! You've got to listen to me! It's not--"
"Safe?" Riku laughed in a short bellow. "You want to leave the island just as much as I do! You have to take a few risks to get what you want! Sora!" He reached out a hand, extending it to the scared boy standing in the shallow water. "Come with me!" He urged. It was so hard. To see his friend waiting for him, calling for him to go with him... and Sora would! He'd chase him to the ends of the world! But he couldn't find the courage to enter the water. His face was contorted in something of frustration with himself as he eyed the dark blue before him. Wait... dark..? But the water was shallow... Raising his eyes again, he saw a monster of a wave in the distance.
"R-RIKU! LOOK OUT!" He called. At the thought of his friend being in danger, his sleeping courage swelled in him as he finally took off running into the water. His friend didn't seem to pay the wave any mind as he stood in the same spot, watching Sora frantically scramble toward him. Sora's eyes widened as he neared his friend, the water under him pulling back to add to the wave that was rearing, posing to strike.
I'm not gonna make it!
Their forms were engulfed in the ocean, Sora's sense of direction lost as he rolled about in the water. How was he going to find his way home now..? Where was the surface? He had to breathe! Opening his eyes underwater, he saw his friend before him, arm still extended, his face so calm as though he didn't realize the danger they were both in.
Don't be afraid...
Don't be-- how could he not be? Righting himself in the water, he struggled to reach the hand that was still outstretched to him. He was... so close! But no matter how hard he kicked, no matter how hard he struggled, he couldn't get closer... It was like the water itself was fighting him, overwhelming him, getting faster and faster until finally it was pushing himself away from Riku. Sora's mouth opened in a yell but only bubbles escaped from him as he rolled away, lost in the vastness of the ocean. Time was no longer a factor as the waters carried him to wherever. All thoughts of home were lost, all hopes of seeing Riku and Kairi ever again were washed away within the dark waters.
It could have been minutes or hours later when he felt something solid slam against his back. Struggling once more against the water, he brought his feet down to stand on whatever it was. His head broke through, a great gasp gulped air into his starving lungs as he drug himself from the water. His clothes were sopping wet and his hair was matted against his head. Shaking his cranium, water sprayed from his locks which promptly stood on end again like he had cement for hair-gel. It was weird. But he was right back to the same beach he had been before...
"Sora!"
His heart jumped at the voice. "Kairi?" He blinked, dazed for a moment, looking at the shoreline to see the familiar form. "Kairi!" He called back, waving a hand over his head. Relieved to see a face he remembered. The water clung to him as he waded through the formless substance, the friction nearly tripping him as his shoes made walking in the water extremely difficult. "Kairi," He gasped as he reached the shoreline, his form doubling over as he caught his breath, "where's Riku?" he asked, looking up curiously at his friend.
"Wasn't he with you?" She asked, wondering if Sora'd hit his head, examining the youth, "you know him, he's probably just hiding! Gonna come back and say he beat up a shark!" She giggled into a closed hand. Sora couldn't help but break into a smile too, seeing her happy.
"Y-yeah, you're probably right!" He laughed along with her, bringing his hands up to cradle the back of his head. "Oh man! His mom's gonna be so mad!" He laughed, thinking of what would happen if he missed curfew. But Kairi wasn't laughing anymore. "uhhh, Kairi? Helloooooo? Earth to Kairi?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. It was then he noticed her eyes were trained on something behind him... like she couldn't believe what she was seeing. Turning around, he strained to look into the sun, bringing an arm up to block the excess light... for his eyes to widen. In the distance, falling, was a figure. At first, he thought it was Riku... but as he looked, he couldn't believe what he was looking at.
"What the--" He whispered, casting a glance over to Kairi before looking back at the phenomenon. "T-that's impossible... I'm standing right here, aren't I?" Sora asked, his voice not even trying to hide the confusion he was feeling.
"But... that's definitely you..." Kairi whispered, equally in awe. The figure fell, watching them in confusion as though he was watching a movie of everything that had just happened. A wave of nausea washed over Sora as the figure plummeted down into the water. The sensation of falling overwhelming him again as he fell backward into the water he had just gotten out of. The image of Kairi calling out to him from the surface stuck in his mind. The muffled voice inaudible, but her lips easy to read... he'd seen them make those shapes many times before...Sora...
The sensation of falling captured the youth's senses, the darkness around him was suffocating, his skin felt cold, numb. No matter how hard he tried it seemed a pressure surrounding him made it impossible to move even a smidge. An uncontrollable fear welled up in him.
