The Mognet is the Moogle's mail system, which they've generously offered to allow everyone to use. In addition to letters, Moogles will deliver small packages to the person, provided it isn't too heavy for the little creatures to carry. It may take them a little while, but a Mail Moogle will always track down their addressee and deliver the parcel, even if they do get annoyed when they spend a long time delivering a package that only says a few words. Nonetheless, they are more than happy to deliver letters around the world, and are currently the only group that can reliably get messages anywhere they need to go.
Each character has his or her own inbox; characters sending a letter are to post the contents of the letter in that character's inbox. The service is a free, reliable way to communicate with other characters wherever they are in the Distorted World. Characters may also receive invitations to site events through the Moogles to provide an in-character reason for why they would know about such events.
