Whereas missions on The Warpath Home are usually site-plot-oriented, hunts are the opposite. Aside from whatever your character gets out of it and the rewards they gain, hunts are simplistic quests usually involving fights with monsters on various levels. The higher the rank, the more powerful the target monster and the more difficult the quest.
<Omega> [50 quest medals on completion]
Class Omega hunts are the most difficult; only the site's strongest enemies are fought in this category, and many possess attacks that can completely destroy characters of a lower level. Though most Omega hunts only have one monster to kill, do not take an Omega quest without being properly prepared. Omega and Ultima Weapon are the embodiment of Class Omega.
<Destroyer> [30 quest medals on completion]
Destroyer class hunts are difficult quests involving very powerful monsters in varying numbers. Final bosses such as Neo Exdeath and Necron are examples of Destroyer enemies.
<Boss> [15 quest medals on completion]
Boss class hunts are what the name implies; A good challenge for any adventurer worth his or her salt. Boss monsters are usually known for impeding adventuring progress through areas normal people usually don't travel, and often seem to just be minding their own business when a bunch of loud humans comes thundering in to its nest. Any boss character from any Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts game is a good example of a boss class hunt.
<Midboss> [10 quest medals on completion]
Midboss hunts are enemies stronger than your average mook, but not quite at boss levels. They can be a bit of a challenge when encountered in numbers, and come at varying intensities depending on the situation. The Turks are a good midboss example.
<Mook> [5 quest medals on completion]
Mook hunts are the simplest hunts, usually requiring the killing of many small creatures that are more dangerous than they look to give someone a trivial item they are carrying for whatever reason. As with other hunts, they have varying numbers per individual quest.
Though Omega class hunts tend to only have one enemy, the rest of the classes can have anywhere to one specific target with many allies to an individual. How difficult the quest is determines rewards, which are listed below the hunt summary. If a hunt has a level requirement or a minimum/maximum number of members that can participate, this will be listed above the plot summary. Unlike missions, which usually cannot be repeated, Hunts can be played over as many times as you like. HOWEVER, you may only be involved in one Hunt with a single character at a given time. For example, if Laguna Loire were involved in a hunt, he would be unable to initiate another while the first was ongoing.
Please note that you can request hunts as well if you have a desire to simply smash some monsters that aren't listed. PM Aerith and it'll be set up as quickly as possible. In some cases, a requested hunt cannot be played out in an existing area; if this happens, the quest will be made as a Mirage quest instead. As with missions, staff members have the right to deny your hunt request.
