That was what a little robot had told her upon entering this oddly placed town. Samus's onboard computer had picked up a timespace anomaly a ways from this little town, and she had come to investigate the cause. As far as the computer was able to tell, the anomaly was fueled by the large crystal in the center of town. It was radiating a powerful energy that had forced time to reverse in the area of its influence. The sheer stop between the town's boundaries and the desert was a clear sign of this; the desert simply ceased at the edge of the pale, almost transparent blue energy. It was also interfering with the suit's dating system, causing it to display an error message that leaving the bubble seemed to remedy.
Samus decided that she would at least hear what the robot had to say. He had sounded urgent, and the town hall building was clearly marked. No one she saw seemed to be aware of any problems, and she was drawing quite a few stares as she entered the town hall building. A glance over her shoulder saw them all look away as quickly as possible. Admittedly, her armor was a bit conspicuous. There was already another woman with the robot, around her height with pink hair. From stance and outfit, she was a soldier of some sort, and from her light armaments Samus guessed she was or had been part of a peace keeping corp.
"All right, what is it you need?" Samus asked, not bothering for introductions. She would give one if asked, but if not that was just fine with her. |
