Samus didn't trust the molding green stones of this ancient castle. The heads up display in her visor displayed many weakened faults in the walls and floor, to the point she had to wonder what force was holding it together with all the creatures making their homes in it. It was night time, pale moonlight adding the slightest bit of color to the green twinge of the visor's night vision mode. Her footsteps echoed through the vacant hallways as she made her way to the central chamber of the castle. The data she had collected on her mark told her that if it was anywhere, it was there.
Samus Aran had been hired by a man in Lanayru to track down and kill a nasty beast that had been harassing the town. Compared to previous jobs, this would be simple. Go in, kill the beast, get out. Try not to bring the place down on top of her. The power suit could take a lot of punishment, but a castle roof crushing her would still not be in her best interest. As she thought this, there was a blip in the corner of the screen. The sonar had picked up something human sized behind her. The glowing segments of her armor would have given her away even if the moonlight from the cracks in the walls hadn't. So she opted for the next best thing.
Samus turned around, pointing her arm cannon down the hallway at the quickly-highlighted red outline of a human male with an odd weapon. "You're following me. Why." She demanded, ready to fire on the man if he tried anything. |
