The Party has become bloated, and it's no fun if everyone is buddy buddy. So...anti-party party, the party whose main goal is to crush, smash, maim, and kill The Party. Well, maybe not that last part, but the rest of it is fair play.
The only requirement to join the anti-party party is to have a vendetta against a member of The Party. Cloud, for instance, wants to defeat Sephiroth (Or at least put up a decent fight) so that he'd be considered SOLDIER material on returning to Gaia. Gotta plan for the future, yanno? Anyway, since The Party is mostly made of good-neutral members, the Anti-Party Party should mostly be neutral-evil, although it's not a hard and fast rule. You can be good and still join.
'Course, the anti-party party has more than just that one goal. No use in trying to defeat The Party if you aren't going to bother training while they're out getting buff and collecting treasure. So, like The Party, the Anti-Party Party will also be going out and getting buff by beating on little kids and stealing their candy.
Suggestions welcome! Such as having the Anti-Party Party mostly operate in pairs unless gearing up for a major mission/attack on the Party or something. Not up to me!
