Missions are a kind of quest on The Warpath Home. Whereas hunts are usually simple targets to kill, missions are more complex. A mission may take you to the heights of the Shin-Ra tower or the plane of the Fourth Dimension and can affect any number of things in the site's narrative. To differentiate between what mission involves what, each is marked with a key word in the title.
<Aether> [50 quest medals on completion]
Aether quests are the grandest of all quests. An Aether quest can be multi-part, spanning several threads and several venues until its completion. In the event of a multi-part Aether quest, the quest in question will be marked Part I, with the subsequent parts becoming unlocked after the completion of the first part and not requiring the person finishing Part I to re-apply for the next leg of the mission. An Aether mission is one that can shatter or otherwise majorly affect a majority of the world's locations; examples would be Sephiroth's summoning of Meteor or Ultimecia's time compression.
<Hero> [40 quest medals on completion]
Hero quests are second in terms of scale to Aether quests. Like Aethers, they affect wide areas; unlike them, a Hero quest only has an effect on the continent it took place on, or areas close enough to be altered. The Shin-Ra attack on and occupation of Wutai or a war waged on the continent would qualify as Hero missions.
<Guardian> [30 quest medals on completion]
Guardian quests are those that substantially change a single area and one or two of its neighbors. Guardian quests include such events as sabotaging a section of the government, or killing the leader of a specific area. Battles of sufficient scale between powerful villains and their opposing heroes can fall in this category depending on how active the battle is to be. The death of Queen Brahne and Midgar's destruction are examples of Guardian quests.
<Knight> [20 quest medals on completion]
Knight quests are one of the lowest quest ranks in terms of scale. Defending a city's borders from invaders or terrorists would qualify as a Knight quest. Boss fights against sufficiently leveled enemies also qualify. The destruction of Sector Seven and Yuna's kidnapping by Seymour are good examples of Knight quests.

Page quests are minor quests that usually involve finding things for other characters or minor interactions. Fetch quests of most kinds fall under this category if they are not combat oriented. Page quests only affect a small group of people, and at smallest just one person.
The effects of completed quests will be recorded in the monthly Newsletter for the whole world to know about, whether it be the destruction of a city or the saving of a small child. Different quests give different rewards depending on the location and difficulty of the mission in general. As a rule of thumb; the harder the mission, the better the spoils. Each mission will have its rewards listed in bold beneath the scenario presented. Below this is a list of the affected areas and what kind of changes to expect as a result of the completion of it. Please note that while your reward will not change, your actions in the quest can and will affect what areas are affected and how they are changed.
If a quest has minimum or maximum strength requirements, or is only for a specific character class, this will be listed above the mission summary. If there is a limit to how many people can join the quest, this will be listed below the minimum/maximum requirement notice.
