CHARACTER NAMEGeneral Beatrix Rose Marwick
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONThere are a lot of average things about Beatrix. First off is her height, which she is only about 5'10. Her figure is about the same. Although she is lean, the woman isn't even remotely close to being a stick figure. Her brunette hair falls just past her shoulders, and the ends of her hair curl up just a little bit. Both her chest and facial features are average at best, and Beatrix is just fine with this.
What really makes the Rose of Alexandria stand out is her out fit. First off is the eye patch she wears over her right eye, which is a result of an old battle wound. As she prefers to stay agile Beatrix does not wear heavy armor often. Instead she opts to wear a enforced sleeveless duster. The thing is mainly white, and accented here and there with red. On the back is a rose. The heaviest armor she wears are the armored boots and gloves she often wears. A large belt is always strapped around her waist, with her sword hanging off the back.
CHARACTER PERSONALITYBeatrix is proud. She stands beside most of her actions, and believes deeply in her skills. The general's pride is not completely undeserved, she has earned everything she has in this world. At times her pride crosses over into hubris, which leads her into trouble. Refusing to believe that she can't do something, it is easy for Beatrix to get in over her head.
Although she will never admit it, Beatrix has a huge heart. Often times she will go out of her way to help others, or just to put a smile on someones face. Her kindness even extends in combat. Often times she will show mercy when she can. At times, like when she slew a hundred men, it is impossible to show the enemy even a hint of mercy. But if Beatrix believes that someone is no longer a threat to Alexandria, then she will often spare them.
Often times Beatrix will bottle up her emotions. She has trouble dealing with them, especially when it comes to romantic feelings. If it wasn't for that letter, Beatrix would have never confessed her love to Steiner.
Failure is something that Beatrix can not accept. When she does fail the woman often goes out of her way to punish herself, such as attempting to leave Alexandria because she felt like she failed as a general. The biggest skeleton in Beatrix's closet is Cleyra. The woman knows it is her fault that the place was destroyed and countless civilians were killed, but she can't face that fact. Instead she blames Kuja to make herself feel better. If not wearing heavy armor, Beatrix often opts to wear a sleeveless
CHARACTER HISTORYMany people think that Beatrix was born into the rich and celebrated, those people are wrong. Twenty-eight years ago Beatrix was born into one of the poorest families within Alexandria, and perhaps even the world. Growing up in a neighbor hood that primilarly consisted of boys Beatrix found it hard to make friends. Whenever they would play pretend the boys would all be knights, after they were done bickering with who got to be the good knights they would always make Beatrix the princess the good knights had to save. She despised being a princess.
Reaching her early teenage years Beatrix became rather aggressive. She got into a lot of fights, and would often come home injured. Worried for her safety, Beatrix's mother taught her what little white magic she knew. The young lady had a really knack for it, and people told her she should become a White Mage. But Beatrix didn't want to be someone who sat on the side lines, or helpless when shit got real.
When a new wave of feminism washed over the Alexandrian army, Beatrix was one of the first to sign up. During her training Beatrix's strengths truly shone. Extremely skilled at sword play, Beatrix quickly out classed her entire training group. But that wasn't enough, determined to make herself better she trained night and day.
With her skill and determination Beatrix quickly rose through the ranks of the Alexandrian army. By the age of 21, she was appointed as the General of Alexandria by Queen Brahna Raza Alexandros XVI. Upon gaining her new rank, Beatrix was bestowed the greatsword Save the Queen. Not only is her own life elevated, but the life of her family is as well. No longer did the Marwick family live in a shack, but one of the finer homes near the castle. Although Beatrix mainly stayed within the castle, it did her good knowing that her family was well off for once.
Becoming a faithful hound of the throne, Beatrix served the Alexandros without remorse. Well that was until Cleyra. Infiltrating the tree city, Beatrix effortlessly tore down their main defenses and escaped with Cleyra's treasure. Returning to the Red Rose, she hands over the jewel to Queen Brahne. The Queen brushes her aside, and promptly wipes Cleyra off the face of the world.
Beatrix begins to wonder if she was doing the right thing. Cleyra was no threat, and it was mainly filled with civilians. Then she learns of Brahne's plan to kill Garnet. Returning to Alexandria she fights Zidane and crew one more time, as they attempt to save Princess Garnet. Finally Beatrix caves in and disobeys Brahne for the first time in her life. Using her white magic she heals Garnet, saving the Princess's life.
After Brahne's death, Beatrix finds herself following Garnet. Aiding the Princess in her preparations for coronation, Beatrix stumbles upon a love letter. Thinking it was from Steiner the woman finally confesses her feelings for him. The two fell in love. A few nights later Kuja attack Alexandria. Taking to the streets Beatrix fought by the side of her new lover, but their efforts were in vein. Alexandria was destroyed. The devoted general only left her city to aid in the battle outside of Memoria.
While Zidane and Garnet left to defeat Kuja, Beatrix stayed behind in Alexandria to oversee the reconstruction. Upon Kuja's defeat and apparent death, Garnet returned to Alexandria. Since the destruction of Cleyra and her betrayal of Brahne, Beatrix saw herself unfit to serve Alexandria. With the intentions of leaving she departs the castle, only to be stopped be Steiner. The man manages to convince her, and together they stay in Alexandria.

"Hello there. You've just arrived in the Distorted World. Why don't you tell me your name, and the first thought going through your head right now?"She is tense. The general's one good eye looks around, before she turns her stern gaze to the speaker. "Where is the Queen?" Pausing, Beatrix takes in her surroundings. "I apologize, I should have not acted so rashly. It is troubling to travel so suddenly."
"That's certainly interesting... forgive me if I don't know what to say to that. So tell me, where are you from?""I come from Alexandria, I serve the royal family as their General."
"Can't say I've ever heard of it. Well, tell me about yourself. What do you do? What are some of your likes and dislikes?"Looking a bit agitated, Beatrix replies. "As I said before, I am the General of Alexandria. My heart and soul lies with the Queen. Well..." Looking away, she pauses. Returning her gaze to the speaker Beatrix resumes. "There is another my heart has fallen for. I have become very... fond of him." Facing turn beat red, Beatrix actually looks a bit happy for once. "Ahem. Moving on, I enjoy spending my time practicing sword play, over viewing Alexandria's army, and helping those in need. I absolutely despise questions about my eye patch, cooking, and Kuja. Do not even think of even mentioning Cleyra."
"Ah, that's amazing! And not only do we have some things in common, you're quite the looker, too, aren't you?""Your advances are flattering, but my heart is for him and him alone."
"There's no need to be shy. They always say, if you've got it, flaunt it, right? Anyway, enough about that. Who are you allied with?""I have become nothing more than a common survivor. Although I hold one of the highest positions of power within Alexandria, it is not my place to lead it. Until an Alexandros retakes the throne, I will do nothing more than defend Alexandria."
"I'm sure you have your reasons... Oh, on another note, how tall are you?""If you really must know, I am five feet ten inches."
"Drat! Just four inches too tall. Although... hmm, would you mind if I asked you on a date? Don't worry, I'll buy."The question is returned with another glare. (Steiner-sexual)
"Finding a venue might be a bit difficult, anyway, since I have no idea where we are... tell me where this is, again?""Hmph, we are in Alexandria. Although I will think I will pass on finding a venue with you."
"Ah, how could I forget? I'd love to vacation here someday, when it's not so foggy... It's scenic, you know?""I do love the sights of Alexandria..." Beatrix looks off to the distance as she speaks. She seems lost and far off as she looks at the city.
"Well, thank you for the lovely conversation! I'm afraid I'll have to be leaving you, though, since I'm going to explode in about three seconds anyway. Buh-bye now!""Hm?" Sill lost in thought, it takes her a few seconds to process the other's words. "Oh yes, have a lovely day." Her mind, as always, is on Alexandria.

RP SAMPLEHer breath grew still. T-This is... This is... Struggling to find the right words Beatrix watched in both awe and disgust as the creature descended from the sky. First it pushed aside the black clouds as if they were it's play things. She kept watching as the Eidilion as raised a single spear. A scoff escaped her lips, surely it couldn't do much with just the spear alone. But the general was wrong. Hurtling the spear towards the settlement, Beatrixed watched in horror as the great tree was completely obliterated by the spear.
As Odin left the skies about what was Cleyra, Beatrix could not look away from the hole in the ground. As that's all that was left of the city. As the airship Beatrix stood on began to drift away, she kept staring at the ruins. She found herself becoming more and more disturbed by the creature. No... This thing, this ---, was not a creature. It was a monster. "And I..." Oh god. Beatrix thought, upon realizing what happened. "And I handed it Cleyra...".
Staggering, Beatrix took a few steps back. She was horrified at herself. How many civilians lived in Cleyra? Thousands? At least the Burmecians had a chance to flee... But Cleyra was... Beatrix shook her head. No... This isn't my fault. I-It can't be... It can't...
