Or it would have if he knew where exactly he was. Raphael wandered aimlessly through the town known as Alexandria. Actually, it was a capital..castle town or something of that sort. He wasn't sure, as stated previously. He had heard it in passing while walking the street. Most people ignored him and some blatantly avoided him. An imposing man wearing a long coat and hat tipped down to hide his face. Yeah, people didn't want a part of that action. Although, the crystalline spear that he carried propped against his shoulder is what might have thrown them off. Raphael looked ready to use the thing and that frightened them or so he believed.
He was tired though, hungry and thirsty too. He needed a hot meal to satisfy his grumbling stomach and a cool drink to quench his parched throat. With fatigue and hunger slowing him down, Raphael probably wouldn't even defend himself against a mugger. Well, he'd definitely try to. Someone of his caliber, not to mention reputation, had to save face in times like those. Losing to a pitiful street urchin would be bad, very bad. Nobody would hire him then, not even another street urchin. Bah, he was getting off track again, which usually happened when he was tired and hungry.
Damn it all!
Coming to a stop, Raphael leaned against a pole that just happened to be there. He needed to get some shut eye and loitering right there felt like the best thing to do. Just a few measly hours of sleep shouldn't harm anyone, least of all himself. Maybe when he was feeling rejuvenated, he'd be able to find a decent tavern that sells food and drink. Or maybe he'd run unto a wealthy businessman in need of a bodyguard...or even a nice young woman being robbed. Yes, making a heroic entrance and saving the lass would do wonders for his reputation that probably doesn't eve—

Florinda and Nayru had moved on from Archades in hopes to not only explore, but to find what they should do on this world. Florinda had learned much in Archades, but it lacked anything that would help her help Nayru to be fully functional, but Florinda doubted that she would ever manage to make Nayru fully functional.
When they arrived in Alexandria, she allowed the android to roam around as she pleased. Despite her want to protect the other, she couldn't suffocate the poor thing, even if she was an android. Florinda had learned quick that the personality and emotional core of the other produced very real personality and emotions.
Nedian technology...how she would love to have traveled back in time to see it. As Florinda walked around, she realized Alexandria's technology was actually lower than Archades. They had airships, sure, but nothing as sophisticated. It seemed more magic-based too, even fantasy-based compared to the militarized Archades.
It was a stark contrast, basically. Despite that, she managed to stand out a lot more with her casual clothing, making people stare at her in suspicion. She did nothing to warrant them to call any form of military against her, but Florinda was sure as soon as they even thought she was thinking of doing anything bad, the knights would surround her.
The air here was a bit...more urgent. She soon found out, with a bit of eavesdropping which the vault hunter had to do often, that their beloved Queen went missing and the city was starting to lose hope. But because of their strong military leader, Beatrix, they were managing to get by...barely.
That's why when she saw a man just...sleeping against a pole, it made her feel actual shock. He looked out of place himself, but not as much as she did, but he...was sleeping. Florinda betrayed a small smile to herself, highly amused as the mischievous side started to kick in. She wondered how asleep he was as she approached him, silent on her feet.
If being a vault hunter taught her something, it was stealth was everything. If she succeeded in coming next to the other, she would place a hand on his shoulder and push lightly, most likely, if it succeeded, to either knock him off balance, or topple him to the floor entirely.
Either way, whether it succeeded or not, her eyes flashed to show how amused she was.
THANK YOU SO MUCH TASMANIAN OF CAUTION FOR MAKING THIS !
